At Bupa, we’re on a mission to deliver exceptional healthcare and become the most customer-centric healthcare provider. Since 2021, we’ve expanded significantly, increasing the number of Bupa-owned health centres and enhancing our specialist primary care and outpatient diagnostic services.
Now, we’re thrilled to announce a major milestone: the acquisition of New Victoria Hospital in Kingston upon Thames — our first UK hospital acquisition since 2008.
A Shared Culture of Care
New Victoria Hospital has been delivering outstanding care since 1898. With 33 beds and over 150 consultants, it specialises in orthopaedics, gynaecology, general surgery, and gastroenterology. Its values — prioritising patients, reinvesting profits into care, and operating without external shareholders.
This makes the hospital a natural fit for us, and we’re excited to welcome their dedicated teams into the Bupa family.
Why This Matters for Our People
This isn’t just about expanding our footprint — it’s about creating new opportunities for our employees. New Victoria Hospital will join our Diagnostic and Secondary Care London division, alongside Cromwell Hospital, strengthening our ability to deliver integrated care across specialties and sites.
For our teams, this means:
- New career pathways in secondary care, diagnostics, and specialist services.
- Greater collaboration across a broader network of consultants and clinical experts.
- Innovation opportunities connecting pathways across areas like breast, bowel and prostate cancer, MSK, cardiology, and gynaecology.
- Enhanced development through exposure to advanced facilities, including three new operating theatres, a 128-slice CT scanner, and a comprehensive endoscopy service.
Recruitment Opportunities
As part of this transition, New Victoria Hospital is actively recruiting for several roles which can be found here: Current Vacancies | New Victoria Hospital
These roles reflect the hospital’s commitment to both clinical excellence and a supportive working environment. Keep an eye out for future roles as more opportunities are expected to emerge as time goes by.
