Meet Jessica, our dynamic Sales Academy Manager. Jessica is not just a manager; she's a beacon of inspiration, resilience, and dedication, making a real impact at Bupa every single day. With over a decade of experience in helping others, Jessica’s current role involves leading her team of sales coaches and creating unforgettable experiences for new starters. 

Jessica's adventurous spirit isn't just confined to the office. During a volcanic event in Iceland that grounded planes, she embarked on an epic journey from Barcelona to Manchester, involving various modes of transport. "I made it home a week later, before any planes were back in the air," she recalls. This story highlights Jessica's remarkable tenacity and determination, showcasing her ability to overcome challenges and persevere – qualities she consistently brings to her role at Bupa.  

Jessica's career at Bupa is a testament to growth and development. She started as a Healthcare Consultant, dedicating nearly eight years to supporting companies with employee policies. Eager to expand her skills, she completed an Apprenticeship Level 3 in Aspiring Leaders, which led to a promotion. "The apprenticeship was a game-changer, equipping me with the skills and confidence to excel in a new area," she explains. Jessica then became a coach within Consumer New Business, which involved providing guidance to healthcare consultants.  

Her dedication and leadership have propelled her into her current role as Sales Academy Manager, where she oversees a team of six sales coaches and manages all new starters in the academy, ensuring  they’re fully prepared and competent in their roles before transitioning to their respective sales teams. One of her key responsibilities is to ensure that frontline sales teams have competent, compliant conversations while treating customers fairly and delivering exceptional experiences. Additionally, she is committed to making sure her team feels valued and engaged in their work and development. 

The highlight of Jessica's week? Team meetings! "We discuss goals, celebrate achievements, and support each other in striving to be better," she notes enthusiastically. Jessica believes that investing in new starters sets them up for a bright future at Bupa. 

Outside of work, Jessica is motivated by her family. She appreciates Bupa's support for working parents, especially the ability to buy and sell holidays. "As a full-time working parent, being able to buy five more days of holiday allows me to take additional leave during my daughter's school holidays," she explains.
